I systematically went through my entire collection looking for a couple of missing LPs, KNOWING that I had misfiled them (or so I THOUGHT I knew). One, I have another copy...in fact I have both a mono and a stereo of Mundell Lowe's "Porgy and Bess". I'd hoped to give one to SOMEONE around here, but NOOOOO! Someone apparently needed the first one I'd found more than I (or whoever I ended up giving the second copy to).
But the "Milestone Jazz Stars w/ McCoy Tyner, Sonny Rollins, and Ron Carter" I'll have to get from GEMM or someplace else.
But it was a kick going through all my Rock and seeing just how many mono LPs I had...surprised the heck outta me!
If anyone knows where a copy is in their area...ya want a mono Stones or Dylan or something?
Hey David (damn...forgot your moniker), e-mail me!..."Last of the Brooklyn Cowboys" Arlo Guthrie; "Beck, Bogert and Appice"; "They Only Come Out at Night" The Edgar Winter Group...all in Quad (I could have sworn I pulled something else out, but haven't been able to find it in my "cull" boxes.

If I had more money I'd soon be broke...but I'd have more LPs!
Follow Ups:
2 weeks ago. I assumed it was a "sampler" -- is it really good? I can call her tomorrow and see if it's still there.

I have at least 6 versions of Porgy Bess - send me the LP number and you can have it if I have it......happy ribfest from a northern inmate.....

The Porgy and Bess I have. I found a copy about 4 years ago and was astounded by the music and sound of the LP. Then it disappeared. A year or so later I found 2 more copies at another yard sale, bought both, one mono and one stereo from that sale...but the first one I'd gotten never turned up.At the same time, about 3-4 years ago, my copy of "Milestone Jazz Stars" went missing. I think both were "borrowed" at the same time, presumably by the same person, whoever that may be. I have never found another copy at a yard sale or a store...but on line it's rather easy to find a copy. I was trying to avoid spending money on an LP I had (or thought I did).
As many know I love giving LPs to others...I just like the giving to come from my hands, not sticky ones. I figured, when I found that second (and third) Mundell Lowe LP, that it would be a great gift for a friend...but I can't give what was taken.
