being in no mood for subtlety at the moment and in honor of all the recent discussion of PRaT I might just pull some Bootsy, Graham Central Station, and Funkadelic, too!
Follow Ups:

Great album

Ever patient, traveling the analog road. A little change here, a subtle or tiny improvement there. (With a little surprise) now flying nearly three pound passive record weight (2 3/4 lbs, 1200 gr). And added more poly dots at/near/around center, of my spotmat. Holding that record tight and firm, still and motionless giving up some ever so tasty music. And yeah, we got rhythm too :-)
His 1st LP I think. Done when he was still in George Benson's band. This has Benson, King Curtis, & Blue Mitchell on it and is produced by John Hammond. Worth tracking down and very well recorded.
This thing just digs in, and doesn't let go. "Valotte" and "Too Late For Goodbyes" both charted higher and are both good, but "Say You're Wrong" is Lennon's most infectious song.
London Calling, the guitar and drums always remind me why this album is so rated they jump with the audience right up and down,
Song remains the same, Page and co showing the beauty inherent in blues linked rock,
Rhandy Roades with Ozzy on vocals just great, good bass and Kerslake solid on drums tho not up to Clash or Tool.Next up Lateralus altho I will have to revert to CD but Tool are worth the effort.
sublime is a description that would fit.

Red label Canadian Atlantic with a "Q" before and after the cat. number in the dead wax. Well played, but sounds surprisingly good.
Not sure which pressing I have, just that its US pressing and I kinda borrowed it from my older brother a long time ago....Sounds good. Bass and mid heavy. "old soud"ing.
It's a Graham Parker kind of night.
Playing:
"Struck by Lightening"
"Mercury Poisoning"
"I want you Back"
"Squeezing Out Sparks"...and I just put on Springsteen's "Ghost of Tom Joad"
On Deck is Steve Howe's "Not Necessarily Acoustic"
Me, I'm just a lawnmower, you can tell me by the way I walk....

Shora is a Swedish (I think) instrumental post rock (I guess) band. Great builds, nice textures and good songwriting.

good basement listening!

....following Paul Simon, Surprise. My two purchases at the Stereophile show, both quite good.

They skip the electronics and effects this time, and the lyrics are also more traditional. But you can still tell it's Jeff Tweedy and company.I never thought the electronic parts were all that great anyway.
This LP was cut by Stan Ricker, so there's nothing wrong with the sound.
...Illegally I suppose.Sky Blue Sky is a much more traditional sounding album.
Sonny Rollins & the Contemporary Leaders, Randy Weston a la Boheme, Gene Ammons Jammin' with Gene...see above re: sonics, and I'm not in love with the last one yet. The Randy Weston one is really great though, and the Sonny is very good.

all the best,

My wife picked it up for me today and I'm giving it my first listen. I loved Funeral and so far this one is good, (only at the first cut).
That pipe organ...that melody...the words....
