Happened to me at least once or twice back in the day. What a golden time the seventies were ..... seems like there was a hifi dealer in every single neighborhood. And at least two (sometimes three) record stores. And every Sunday the newspaper had the large spread ads, with what was on sale (and sometimes blowout). They certainly had my number.Didn't make much of a diff what the equip was, or of course how it sounded. As long as you got a deal. University Stereo's annual tent sale was full combat shopping. and when they finally went under, the closing sale had equipment stacked outdoors, on different pallets. Each with a different sign. Expressing the price on offer. Per pound (one dollar, two, three). I giss this is where I express a tinge of remorse at the passage of time ..... All that energy spent tail chasing. But, son of a gun. I finally got it right. Just me and the grooves' modulations.
Follow Ups:
I am not a shill- I posted to A'gon under my real handle which I post under many times a week - (here too) I just didnt post this under my handle because I feel who know what A'gon will do to their critics.
Curious to know.

I would assume that that is who you are then.Posting using multiple monikers is not allowed by rule here in the civilized world of AA.
