I just received a new Clearaudio Aurum Woods Classic and I'm a bit concerned about the flex in the cantilever. When cueing down, the cantilever shows the normal flex but comes to a complete halt in flex. The arm them bounces a slight bit. To me, the flex should continue as the arm is lowered(body of cart is not close to the vinyl). VTF is correct (double-checked) at 2gr.-2.2gr. Table is also new. Now, the sound of this cart is very good. But, I've experienced it being stuck in the groove (last track) on a few albums. May I have a suspension wire broken? Without complete flex in the cantilever, I'm a bit concerned if this can damage my vinyl. Thanks for any advice.

I wouldn't suspect a broken suspension wire. If you had one, and it isn't likely with that cartridge, it would most likely be a low-rider. I also suspect what you are seeing may be normal for that cartridge when it isn't broken in just yet. Something else is afoot.
Thanks for your response. But, the cart isn't a low rider. Far from it. It's on a Clearaudio Emotion (love this table). I've never seen this cantilever issue with any cart/table I've ever owned. Strange.
The worrisome part is the sticking in the end groove. I would check the levelness of the turntable, the movement of the arm, all the cartridge settings, including azimuth, etc., etc. If you float the tonearm with zero VTA and zero antiskate, you should be able to place a piece of paper the size of a stamp on the headshell, and the tonearm should travel with a mild puff of air, but not so much that the paper would fall off.
