I just received a batch and 1 out of 4 is too small! I cannot get the records in. I've been using them for 25 years and this is a first.
I cannot remember who I purchased them from and I cannot find the receipt.
It's not worth the trouble returning them anyway for twenty bucks.
Follow Ups:
About 1 in 10 here too!
I've only found one in the first 10 I used, hope there's not too many more.
I'm having the same problem with the batch I'm using now. Got them from either Music Direct or Elusive Disc. Don't remember which. Not quite as bad as yours, maybe one in eight is too small. It's not the records. New and old records just don't fit. I've been chucking them as I come across them. Lovely QC.
3 out of 4 are too small.
RTI mostly it seems. The edges are very sharp in addition to the records being slightly large. The sharp edges slice through some of the sleeves.
It happened to me too but it was about 5 in 100 and that was sometime ago.
I had that same problem about four years ago when I bought a supply from Music Direct, as I recall.
Bags Unlimited's clear 3 mil inner sleeves...they are a bit too big and I have to work to get the record and sleeve back into the jacket. Some of those older, obscure record companies tried to save every cent...apparently making their jackets EXACTLY 12". Some record jackets, of course, are generously sized.Too small, however...what a bummer. It's a shame you couldn't shrink them for use with 10" LPs. Luckily, I only have about 100 of those plastic sleeves left. When I've ordered sleeves in the past I always got 1000 at a time*.
The frosted sleeves (Pheonix) I bought from Sleeve City are perfect! I have to admit that a few (very few) have been a tiny bit tight, but not alarmingly so. After a slight bit of "forcing" the LP into the sleeve they were fine; the sleeve stretched out that micromillimeter (??) very easily. I'm very happy with those sleeves!
*I order them in large quantities because I've bought so many used records with no sleeves AND that I have an unnatural hatred for label cu-out paper sleeves. I've scratched more than one record when that label cut-out gets torn and the paper drags across the vinyl giving it a paper cut. I remove those sleeves with extreme prejudice.

If I had more money I'd soon be broke...but I'd have more LPs!
I know they had a bad batch a couple of years ago. I have several that were too small.
I received a bad batch about a year ago. Size wasn't the problem, bad seams were. About one in either didn't have sealed seams or would immediately split upon inserting an lp. Musc Direct sent me free replacements, but I after that, I switched to the ploy-lined paper sleeves KAB sells. Cheaper and seem sturdier to me.
