Fun music, particulary the deadpan covers of "Money" and "Summertime Blues". I've been looking for this one for years and wasn't expecting to find it at a tiny record store called Thirsty Moon in the North Park neighborhood of San Diego.
Follow Ups:
I just bought that album last week after looking for it for at least ten years -- for 99 cents at the local Half Price Books. I already knew and loved "Money," but the rest of the album is surprisingly good, and adventurous in an art-rock groove.
I got some great Lps from the Guadalupe St. Half Price Books in Austin in the 90s. In Raleigh, NC they have "Nice Price Books", which is the same sort of store. We don't have anything like that out here in San Diego as far as I know.
I have had Top 10 for 23 years...EEEK!
I bought a copy (3 lp boxed set) of the Fenton Story- "Scream Out Loud" at Thisty Moon. Great collection of mid-60's garage "punk" rock.Record City is across the street, at an angle. I kinda dig the black record storage bins at Thirsty Moon. The owners dad made them.
a copy of this at a Unitarian Church Rummage sale, but there it was. Mint - fifty cents! Stranger still, they only had one LP at the sale and this was it.This LP has the best version of money you will ever hear and is musically interesting throughout. Nice score!
