Have these bidders taken leave of their senses, or is there something I should know?It seems to me that the seller's $4.99 opener is a tad optimistic, but these bidders don't think so.

Couldn't have been more than a few bucks.

got it free, ended up giving it to a co-worker.

...this is bidder 3's first bid, and bidder two is kind of a newby. Give me Schippers any day.
A local thrift store regularly gets large donations from someone that must own a record store. Once or twice a year they will get 10-20 boxes full of VG-NM vinyl, usually classical. I've bought several hundred LPs there including many of that era of Columbia recordings.I think I have that one. I'll have to look for it and give it a spin.
The best thin about this particular shop is they always charge 25¢ for LPs, and when they have the big donations, even the box sets are only a quarter.
I was stunned when I saw another Ormandy Columbia Nevsky go for over $500! And that was for a former library copy! I know I'll be checking the book fairs for THAT one!I love Ormandy's work, but that's pretty nuts. Has anyone actually heard this performance?
I don't know how to tell, but sometimes the old ebay system, sometimes the private one comes up (no ID of bidders).
