a new ruby cantilever and far better stylus.
And you would graft the old tip onto whatever for less than $200. Man, I hope it's way less than $200.Or a trade of tube gear?
You have to forgive a reader his synicism over this offer.
Follow Ups:
Actually, I would use a totally different cantilever/stylus, but a very high quality unit.
I would reuse that Denon tip in another cantilever.
I thought SS retips were closer to $400. $250. is still below the Euro, UK, and Asian dealer costs, which is good.
I guess I must lower my friendly offer...
but I think I'm going to take the opportunity to go the ruby cantilever route.
Hi, I do notice a few satisfied Ruby Denon 103 owners, here.
Let us know what you think about the end result sonically, please.
Sonic opinions are often surprising. Some folks feel ruby cantilevers, as well as boron cantilevers, can brighten the sound, detrimentally, preferring aluminum cantilevers. Still, other folks love the result of the jewelled cantilevers. Happy Listening !!...
