Seriously, Pat Robertson did the biblical math and decided the Rapture would commence on April 29, 2007. It's all in his book.Me, I'm loving some Ahmad Jamal on Argo.

Follow Ups:
Steely dan - Katy Lied
Paris Texas soundtrack features some great acoustic guitar by Ry Cooder. Real "hot stamper" quality too.Audioslave - really lucked out and found a copy cheap yesterday.
Along with Magical Mystery Ttour, and a bunch of other late 60s stuff, as an old friend dropped by with a bottle of wine and a need to hear some vinyl. The Bonzos' "The Intro and the Outro" and "The Sound of Music" had us (and my daughter's boyfriend) howling with laughter, like the old days. Seems we both still remember every word of that album, and now there's another new young fan.
Pat Robertson isn't even right once a day.
I hope it doesn't happen - I want to know how the Sopranos ends.
Anyway, my people sure as hell ain't getting picked up in no rapture, so I will continue spinning.
On today:

Excelent Choice!!!
Big find today of MINT 70's vinyl...
This is a great LP. This was a time when members of Yes decided to do solo LP's. The best of the bunch were Chris Squire 'Fish Out of Water' and Jon Anderson 'Olias of Sunhillow'. I remember seeing Chris Squire perform some of the songs on 'Don Kirshner's Rock Concert' with a small orchestra and Patrick Moraz on keyboards. This was a time when it was very rare to see your favorite bands on television.

The Star Trek theme is exceptional!!!
I reccieved it Wednesday but have not had a chance to play it until tonight. It is pretty good. Recorded well, pressed with no defects and I dig the material.

Got my first DG as a gift from a fellow inmate.....Thanks Tom.

the last quartet and one of the last pieces he composed, and I find it hauntingly beautiful, almost requium-like. Terrific performance by the Fitzwilliam Quartet on L'oiseau-Lyre.
Piano Concerto No. 3, Choral Fantasy - Rudolph Serkin with Bernstein and the NYPO.

Open Your Ears....

Silly Wizard, Wild and Beautiful (UK Highway)
June Tabor, Aqaba (another reissue copy)
Richard Thompson, Front Parlour Ballads

.....since I don't play CD at home, and have never heard the CD.The vinyl does sound pretty good, but you can tell it's a modern recording.
Pink Floyd's "The Wall" (Japan) and Blue Rodeo's "The Days In Between." See link below for the end of the world.Ripple
One of my finest recordings. It was the one done by and for Monster Cable.

Loaded, White Light/White Heat, and the self-titled set.
