I'm such an old fogey...it takes an atomic bomb or the equivalent thereof to get me to listen to new Rock. New Jazz, new Classical, both neo-classical and new performances of classics, new "World music" that music that it steeped in the traditions of the lands where they come from (some, I guess, is Rock)...BUTLike I said, I'm an old fogey...my wife has the Rock station on in the car when she drives and I change it to Classical when I drive!
I'm comfortable wearing my untanned bear skins, walking around sans shoes, smacking wimmiz over the head with my club, praying to the trees, etc.

If I had more money I'd soon be broke...but I'd have more LPs!
Follow Ups:
Ever checked out the crapola here in Pgh? An guy from another planet would think "Suite: Judy Blue Eyes" had just been released.
I never listen to any of the "rock" stations in the car either. Its always classical or NPR news.
But at work, when I can roll my own...let 'er rip.

a new song? You know, by that new band The Eagles? They play a mix of old and new, the new grating upon my nerves like a cheese grater's been run over my head.

early 90's you'dve heard marquee moon on the radio pretty often, and a whole lotta other 'unmarketable' greatness that wouldn't make airwaves anywhere else. definitely a golden era.. but by the time i was leavin' th'burgh in the late 90's.. it was turning into a barren wasteland of techno and classic rock (although i vastly prefer the latter to the former...).at least you've got jerry's... i have the big man to blame for my vinyl problem!
