A good FM jazz station sounds much better than satellite radio. That said, every since I got Sirius, and subsequently moved from Los Angeles (great FM radio) to Birmingham (shitty FM radio), I have rarely used my tuner. It's a shame, but so.

I love when I hear that term. My cell-phone and answering machine are "digital quality" too!
I've heard some ads for the new HD Radios that claim "CD quality" which is an outright lie.
Glad to have another vinyl lover here in B'Ham.
You are dead on about our radio stations. That's why I got XM.
Have you been living here long?
Moved here in September. There's a lot I like about Birmingham, but the FM radio is not one of them. The Birmingham News isn't, either (although reading the letters to the editor can be a source of unintentional humor, sobering reality check, or both).
Thank goodness for Sirius and the internet.
BTW I don't know if you are a fan of the opera, but if so check the OT thread I'm going to start presently.
I also like satellite radio and was in the first 30K subscribers on XM. If you want to find new music try pandora.com, it is a web site that basically finds similar music to what you enjoy. It is free with an advertisement every once in a while or add free for a fee. It is pretty cool for finding those artists that you never would have found, which to me is a lot of fun.
Fun but kinda robot-tronic.Please submit your preferences to the macro-base so we can better customize your sonic soundspace ..
Nice web site...hope the free side stays free.
Thanks, you've just ensured that I won't get a lick of work done all day.
