On Widows XP when I go to tools, options it leads me to the spot that wants to delete the 5 things I mentioned in the previous post. Is it safe to hit the delete button?

you don't remember your own passwords. It is a good idea to periodically delete all the crap that gets stored with cookies and the like. After you delete, you will have to re-enter your user name and password into those sites that require them, and will have to do that after you delete from the tools menu the next time. I delete everything probably once a day.

If you have XP then you have IE version 7. When you get the 5 options then don't click the button delete all and also don't click on the password delete button which is in front of password. Just click 'delete files' in front of temporary internet files. Hope this helps.
Under browsing history I have no option to pick and choose, I either delete the 5 mentioned or nothing.

Under browsing history you have two options. one 'delete' and the second 'settings'. If you click 'delete' you will get the 5 options seperatly and there you can pick and choose which one you want to delete. Do you see only the the two options under browsing history that I mentioned?
Should I delete the four options except passwords.

Just delete the temporary internet files for starters as you need to know what the other options are for and whats behind it that you are deleting before you decide to start deleting everthing. It will take a while to delete the temporary files as it seems you have never deleted them and they have been accumilating since you started using IE. So relax and listen to Vinyl and let the computer do its deleting.
It is working a lot better but I am finding that the single posts do not highlight but where there have been responses to the post I find all are highlighting. Real weird but at least some are working for me. Thanks for your time and effort.
