I was interested when I saw the email from...whomever...that the upgrade was now available. But I definitely raised an eyebrow at the price.
I'd love to hear it on my tweaked out Scout. It's hard to balance out sound improvements vs. dollar amount but it would have to be one HELL of a better sound to justify an investment of over $1000.
I'll wait for a review.

You still need info on the Truth LP/band? Let me know, I can tell you lots.

I have the original acrylic/lead platter which weighs 22lbs (from memory) - can't imagine there would be much improvement in rotational stability from the new platter. However I'm sure the different materials will sound....er...different.
I've held off on previous inverted bearing/platter upgrades because the lighter acrylic platters were reported as a mixed bag improvement wise. I'd like to try the inverted bearing (not compatible with my platter) but $1200 is a steep price.
Nice setup and system BTW
dontcha think?of course the reviews will say it is "better"!!
too bad you can't incorporate the inverted bearing (which is a better design) with the steel/lead platter of yore. 1 step forward, 1 step back....more money spent.
