Hi Henry, I've been using a AT440mla on a Rega P2 with 250tonearm per your recommendation months ago (its great thank you). Where can I get a 2mm spacer, do I really need one, and how would I apply it? Thank you
Theron D
Hi Theron,I have pretty much the same rig as you. Does the tonearm sit parallel to the record surface, or is it tilted back? Are you getting a balanced sound?
Cheers,
I guess a pix is worth a thousand words. To my amateur ears its sounds balanced....
Thanks for the picture Theron. It looks like the tonearm might be tilted back a bit due to the cart's height. But, if you are happy with the sound and its tracking well, that's all that matters. Henry, thanks for the info about the spacer. I think I'll mount the 440 with no shim and see how I like the sound. I can always order one later.Cheers,
or find something close for a lot less at a hardware store.I found I needed the spacer for my 440ML and a Denon DL-160 when I had a P3.
