I probably overstate the case a bit- I just really love those extra tracks (esp. Street Singer) but the "original" six tracks are equally burning. Anyhow if you pony up for the CD I don't think you will regret it, though I did regret buying, in addition to the 3 others I have, the "RVG" edition...

I agree with you 100%. This KING issue has been in regular rotation for YEARS in my house!
Thanks!
I remember seeing that around awhile back. I had forgotten about that issue.
I guess that session, and half of Jackie's Bag, was originally a Tina Brooks date. It would also be on the Mosaic complete Tina Brooks on BN vinyl box, which is no doubt hard to find and expensive at this point. The King cover you posted is surely hipper than the Mosaic artwork...
Regards,
Very funny! 'Twas always my take on Mosaic, too--the lack of cover art left me wanting. Would have made the prices much higher, of course. I'm glad I bought the Tina Brooks Mosaic box, for the nice pressings and the liner notes. But I subsequently bought some Japanese pressings, and they're also wonderful. Because of the music.
