I've never seen it and didn't even know it existed. It hasn't been re-issued on LP has it?

in "music" folks post a few tunes as a sort of guessing game. Watch for it over there

i know with some effort you can find scorpios for as low as $9.also, i know it was issued in japan (toshiba) on both LP & CD. a quick web search revealed that those are still available in some way/shape/form.
Jazz Record Center here in NYC. Goin' down to get one of 'em later today.
...to buy both?i'd buy the scorpio if you need something to tide you over until you find an original... or the classic mono if that is as far as you'd go.
tell the guy @ JRC to keep some good stuff in the store! ;-)
that much for LP's, but Jackie & Tina are among my faves and I really dug the cut Kava put on Barry's site. I'm not exactly a spring chicken and have buying LP's for 45 years, so I have a fair amount of orig. issue jazz records and don't need expensive re-issues from Classic or other vendors. The few Classic's I have are all "classical" music LP's which I got at Tower years ago. They were $15 because they were supposedly meant for export and don't have the shaded dog logo. They do sound damn nice. In fact, the Classic LP of Stravinsky's Song of the Nightingale paired w/Proko. Lt. Kije (Reiner) might be the best sounding LP I own. That one I did pay more for at one of the S'phile shows after hearing a friend's copy.
full report expected
