In Reply to: Was the Stooges "Raw Power" ever reissued on LP? posted by olddude55 on April 17, 2007 at 18:34:00:
yes, it has been reissued as a 180g. you should be able to find it for 10 bucks, and it sounds pretty swell. as good as an original? hard to say, but certainly worth the 10 bucks. as others have said, an alltime classic.

It's a Columbia reissue, and they're actually using the original prefix and number (KC32111).
Got it and an original from Ebay.
Excellent!

they go for a pretty penny these days. make sure when you get it that it really is an original. a lot of dealers advertise them as originals, but they usually have a pc prefix, or they're the reissue with the kc prefix. the inner sleeve is best way to tell.
and they go pretty cheap. This one was something like $5.
When I said "original," I meant an early-1970's Columbia pressing instead of a 21st Century repop.
I have a few PC-prefix Columbias and they don't seem to be any better or any worse than any of the other red/orange label variety.

the pc is fine. it's just that the kc is rarer. I don't think that columbia pressed up many of them, and probably pressed up more the 70's reissues due to the punk rock explosion.
