They did an excellent job with their vinyl releases. Too bad they don't do it anymore.

The latter releases were amazing (Power of the Orchestra, Gaite, some of the Readers Digest reissues) but there first set were pretty mediocre. Spain is the worst of the lot (pan left/right stereo) but even releases like Scheherazade are outclassed by their Classic Records counterparts.

The Chesky pressing is every bit the equal of the classic re-issue. I have both.
