But here you go again splashing it on AA.The original impression you gave here was that the product was somehow defective. It was not in the end defective at all rather but rather user destroyed.
I nevertheless replaced it with a new one free of charge.
What should I do?
(actually I would have never mentioned it again had you not felt the need to bring it up here again)
Follow Ups:
Garth you reply very quickly when someone questions your own integrity.I did this here because it is justified. Now I care enough about the music I listen to,to not want to add to it anything that has been scammed, stolen or aquired without any integrity at all.You have brought a poison to this exchange,I hope you can grasp.Do you want it back?
Why do you have to consult a bunch of people you don't even really know?
These are not a bunch of people I don't know.I value extremely highly and owe very much to the great people that have contributed to this Asylum. You have been an icon for me personally Garth but I feel that I had to say what I did in this open forum. The consensus looks as though it's against another slingbat so sorry to all that got bothered by it and I'll mull for a while I guess.
Regardless of the words he sent you or the attitude you present about how you feel about the exchange, you have a new setup.....And you decide to stab him anyway.....
I think you need to diminish at this point and thank Garth for coming through regardless of his attitude about your problems.
Don't look a gift horse in the mouth and don't bite the hand that feeds you.
...when Tubes and I completely agree. It is a case where the maker took care of the customer, but the customer didn't like any criticism, or didn't accept any responsibility on his part. Garth Phillippe is smart enough to know whether the cable was the same as when he sent it out. That said, I am not accusing the user for the problem. Rather, I am saying that it is not as it was when initially shipped from the maker. My opinion is that the cable be accepted gracefully, and appreciated for the superior quality that it is. We are beyond any initial functional problems at this point, so now the original poster has possession of a superior product. He should be happy that the product was backed up by a maker who handled any shortcomings, regardless of fault. That alone is an uncommon occurrence these days.
Garth sometimes is too frank, but he is always honest with his opinion. In my opinion, he absolutely did the "right" thing for his customer under questionable circumstances. His product is valuable and delicate and needs care in installation. He should not be held accountable for a poor install. This whole exchange should have been private between buyer and seller, and not aired on the asylum.
Looks to be the start of some virtual unpleasantness. So, I gizz best to let the spillover run a direction other than mine .....However .... and this IS directed at Garth. Are you, or are you not in the audio biz? Something that I have wondered for some time. And of course if so (?), one would think a change in Audio Asylum registration would/might be indicated.
We now return you to your normally scheduled internet slogg/slingfest.
