Stravinsky's Pulcinella Suite b/w Song Of The Nightingale, on the "brown/red" London label, LL 1494?
This Canadian printed version I have (in a US cover) does not really fit any of the label description/samples posted on the labelography page.
It is a lovely performance, but the sonics are not as impressive as other old ffrr titles I have heard so far; signal is too low.
Follow Ups:
The picture should show you the label for a London LL1494 mono. You're right, the issue came in stereo. I have the reissue STS issue 15011, but originally it came out on a BlueBack London CS6138 and in merry England as SXL 2188!!!I disagree about the sonics though......I think the mono is incredibly dynamic. The mono has strengths as does the stereo.
All this info is from Phil Reese's stereo Handbook.
If your colours are true, the label you show is red, while mine is brown-red though.
Yours printed in England?
Altough my Canadian one is one of the cleanest LPs I have ever ran accross second (...?)-hand, the constant noise floor and weakness of signal might perhaps indicate it got shot by one of those sewing machine needles.
Going by the number, I'd guess late 50's - there's probably a stereo equivalent ( semi-educated guess )
