Long time since I posted hope everyone is well. In a new r/s and planning on moving in to her place. She wants the gear and software!! Not sure if there is room. Wondering about criteria for keeping albums in the house. Here's mine:
1. What is listened to
2. Completionist Obsessive Compulsive (all Miles, all Who etc.)
3. Collectability
Follow Ups:
My advice?"In a new r/s and planning on moving in to her place."
I am also thinking about moving. I'm going through my stacks
and making one for friends, one for the record store and one
for Goodwill. Over the years I'd pick up a bunch of 25cent
records on a "just in case" basis. Surprising how many of
them I have that are just going out the door. But, on the
flip side, some of those records are amongst my favorites.Your situation hugely depends on your new sweetheart and the
space she has. I can't imagine showing up at my new babe's
place with five bookshelves of records.I've been thinking for years of how to sell my records
eventually, hoping that some lucrative method might show up.
Unfortunately I still think it's a time-consuming business
to sell your records at any profit. I mean I go into a couple
of actual used record shops and most of the albums I have
sit there for months and months.
So .... I ain't gonna give any :-0Just keeding .... if he wants it to work, I might suggest what's his is her's. Including da vinyl. No wincing looks when she gets a fingerprint on a pricey treasure (loving patience/show her how to properly spin/no tude). No head explosions when she drops a needle with a bounce [or two or three (we're assuming female) .... snicker].
Sport a nice bottl'o bubbly, carry her over the threshold, and guud luck!
