Indeed they are. That's the way to listen to music, when it turns into all kinds of multi-coloured 3-D stuff all around you. Difficult to operate the equipment though, I remember spending a long time looking closely at my tape deck in college wondering how to work it...
Follow Ups:
Grateful Dead and Bob Dylan in Eugene (1987). Someone dosed me (sprayed me with water+LSD+DMSO) and I tripped for about 4 hours. Was pretty cool watching Phil Lesh's bass lines coming towards me like ripples in a pond (they were violet). The only side effect was the 2nd degree sunburn (it was 105 degrees in Autzen Stadium) on my nose.I always wonder if that sort of experience is like those folks who have crossed senses in that they 'smell' colors or 'see' sounds. It seems like it could be somewhat difficult to function.
Hey, I was at that show too, but not in your condition. The last time I did that was Santana and the Dead in the same venue.I've experienced synesthesia many times with and without enhancement. I've also had some migraines with aura so maybe the two are related.
People used to have that liquid combo in squirt guns and would administer it to officers trying to break up protests. Then those people were very nice to those who they had just squirted.
I never experienced all the colors and such. I just laughed my ass off for about 6 hours. We went to see Police acedemy on shrooms. I never laughed so hard in my life. And that movie wasn't even all that funny when I saw it later. The last time I tried them was about 5 years ago. We watched Sara Mclachlan mirror ball on DVD and I remember she looked so beutiful. The colors of her stage show and her beuty made for a majical experience that night. Later that night I remember really concentrating on my breathing. The air felt heavy. Shrooms are pretty serious stuff. I'm glad I tried them but not sure I would do them again. It's funny that Willie may still be doing them. It's too bad our society feels the need to prosecute people for things like mushrooms and pot. Mushrooms arent addictive and pot is pot. Heroin and cocain I can see. I don't do any of it these days. Mostly because I feel I need to be sharp for work.
The movie was "Doctor Detroit" for us. We were the only ones laughing in the theater, and when we were leaving I overheard some one say "I wish we had what they had!"I just added "Doctor Detroit" to my Netflix queue. Maybe I should go hang around the university campus? Nah, I'd just get laughed at!

It was funy because that night it seemed like everyone at that movie was laughing as hard as we were. It caught on to everyone. It was an experience. I was woried on the drive home though.
At least a picket fence didn't build itself across the highway when you were trying to go down the road. I thought it was very strange, but Sherry pointed out the purple mailboxes that were walking beside it. She was standing naked in the backseat of a Lincoln convertible that Nick's dad had, so she could see everything, and be in touch with the universe. She liked to do that, but hey, it was her trip, right? Some truck drivers were blowing their horns. I guess they don't have a life. Too bad. Wow, there is some damned freaky shit out there. You just can't normally see it, you know? ...like potzowies, for example. Man...
I never had sex on acid. I had enough trouble keeping my head on.
I only heard about stuff like that...Now don't get me wrong ,us rural Yankees like our crack pots and excentrics but
If someone cracked up or was wacky enough so that gun shots ,cops or nudity were involved we always said about the person".."well he finally made that trip to california"
I did try to go to California. I left Alabama, but I only made it to Souix City Iowa. They had a concert with the band that sang Yellow balloon , and they had a light show with a kaleidescope that projected on the wall. It was cool, but I couldn't dance. That was far enough west for me, so I went home. Besides, we had more going on in that little redneck college town that you would ever imagine...Sherry was only one of many. The Allman Brothers played there all the time, and major concerts were common. I saw Iron Butterfly's last concert there. I held some plump girl on my shoulders through the whole thing. It hurt, but she was a Libra, too. What was I to do?
pin striped pants and wing tip shoes..but I loved rock and roll...all forms of it..My best friend took me to an apartment that had beaded curtains, black lights and glow in the dark posters and Ino Goda Da Vida playing on the stereo. I presume he was there to buy some pot..The fella that lived there took one look at me ans started sweating..he he he.....I heard my friend say "he's cool"...I have not seen Mark since he moved to (were else)california. Now he was really cool
I wore a green field jacket with holes in it over a tie dyed T-shirt, jeans with holes in them and no shoes from 1969 until 1975. Then, I got leisure suits and a haircut because I was finally released into the real world, and I had a degree to prove it. By the way, the real world sucks by comparison.
