    Warehouse Records in Reno and Sparks in the mid 80's quit selling LPs when LPs were outselling CDs 4:1 because the had a lower profit margin, had more returns, and took up more floor space. Which means CDs made them more money even if they sold half as many recordings overall. The idea was to push the non-adapters into accepting CDs by making their LPs scarce.

    It was a crime against music lovers everywhere.
