Great score...some wonderful classics. The Brahms Liebeslieder Waltzes are a personal favorite. Did it come with the english translations of those songs? They are a riot! Perfect for an old fashioned family sing along.
If the Budapest SQ is not something "super special," I don't know what is.Nice haul.
Actually, the Italian Symphony is No. **4** :-) Nice haul, though.
Szell never had a recording of the 5th that I am aware of, unless there are historical releases. That 4th is on fire, and the Hebrides is one of my most favorite demos for his technique and orchestra building. Wonderful Mendelssohn with chamber like playing.
Actually, the Italian Symphony is No. **4** :-)Thanks. It was a typo on my part
