Seriously, I'm asking who are you addressing. Are you talking to people like me who also listen to CDs?

Even though it causes me physical pain to endure a CD. I can understand if it is something not available on LP and CDs don’t cause you too much discomfort. If you want it on LP there is no reason to play into their hands. It just defeats the purpose.

Do I listen to and derive enjoyment from listening to music recorded to CDs and other digital sources, then the answer is an unapologetic YES.I have a couple of thousand of the silver discs. I'm listening to one now. Patricia Barber. And it sounds damn fine. I even have a computer hooked up to my system that I rip my LPs & cassettes into for casual listening to high-bitrate MP3s. And I don't think high-bitrate MP3s sound bad either.
I LOVE listening to my CDs, MP3s, tapes, records, you-name-it.
BobboPerhaps this is along the lines of a Religious Revival
where we can go on an emotional frenzy confess our sins and offer it all up to Baby Jesus !!! ;-)Oh Lord I have offended thee I've been enjoying the hell out of my
little Sony Mini disc player on my Motorcycle rides !All kidding aside I don't even know, is that MP3 format ?
Whatever it is,(lossy / loss-less ? I've been dubbing LP's and I swear it sounds better than my better Red book Cd's on my expensive Disc man.
I think it's 192 kbps. Sounds good to me too.I have a sweet little handheld Sony Minidisc recorder my wife gave me a couple of years ago for my birthday. I've toted it around with a tiny DIY stereo condenser mic for recording jazz festivals for posterity. It's a great little gadget.
I'll save you a seat on the bus to audio Hell.
In fact minidisc was some weird proprietary format (Sony's normal procedure for shooting themselves in the foot) and capable of remarkable fidelity. There's an interesting article about it here:

Maybe even better than the CD.
