Hallelujah!Just got my phono stage FedEx-ed across 8,000 miles of water (back to within an hour or two's drive of where of it was made) - thanks Mehran! - and hooked it up to a TT I bought on a whim (to tide me over while the big boy gets a rack made for it), a brand new DL103R, did minimal adjustments (in too much of a hurry to get some tunes spinnin') and voila... here I am with a stupid grin on my face, listening to Dire Straits' Brothers in Arms (first one pulled out of the box)...
Now I get to go and explore what else is in the box(es) ... hee hee!
Follow Ups:
From viewing your system you consider yourself a vinyl veteran...nice setup!!
The story on the Micro was that I managed to get what was, in hindsight, an excellent deal on it; so I am treating myself to the other parts knowing that as a package, I could let the whole package go and probably still come out up money. If I decide it's worth the money to not sell it, I'll toss other stuff. From the chances I've had to listen to similar high mass tables, I'm going to have to start choosing what I need to sell... :^)
But it's not set up yet... so I took it off the system page until it's fully set up, in use, and I decide it's a keeper.
"Go! Go! Go!"
Brothers in Arms and the CARS Heartbeat City are two of my 50 altime favorite rock and roll spins when I evaluate new equipment.
You gotta get the new 2-LP reissue of this album! Simply awesome!
HenryA 12-gauge shotgun is the ultimate arbiter of disputes - G. Gordon Liddy
Have you got any details of this reissue so I can see if I can get out here in Oz, really love that album!
.
I can almost taste it...[no, Officer, I swear, my ID is real - it's just a little wrinkled!]
