That is for having someone professionally clean your lp’s. If so, what would be a reasonable charge for the cleaning itself, without any consideration of how the lp’s get to the ‘cleaners' and back.

....guarantee the most thorough as is possible job I might try out the service just to compare against my own cleaning regimen. And then if I could plainly 'hear' that the "cleaner" did a superior job, I would most likely find out the method and duplicate it for my own use. This hobby is very much a personal endeavor. However, just to answer the query, I'd give as much as $5.00 to find out. But don't expect repeat business. I'll just acquire my own aparatus designed to match the "cleaner's". fwiw
Why would the 'cleaner' let you know the process and materials?
"Why would the 'cleaner' let you know the process and materials?"If the 'cleaner' refused to divulge the method, I would not proceed with the service. Further, the 'cleaner' would likely divulge the the make and model of the machine he's using as a means to entice customers.
For instance, if the machine is a Keith Monk's unit they would have my attention and I'd be curious to witness the final result. If the unit is a Nitty-Gritty with well worn pads and home-brew solution I figure I can do better with Disc Doctor over my kitchen sink.
Here's my math. Say I have 500 LP's that I'd like to listen to. I'd think the minimum charge would be $1 each (I sure as heck wouldn't do it for that). That's $500. For that price I could buy a VPI 16.5 and a starter bottle of fluid and a brush and clean records forever, just paying for consumables along the way. If I ever decide to get out of vinyl I could sell the machine for half of what I paid for it.
