Anyone have any exerience with this outfit? They're advertising the Stanton 881 (which I thought was discontinued) for $115 which seems a remarkable price.
Follow Ups:
According to Stanton, the 881 no longer exists in any form. Also, please note, I have spoken to these guys in the past and they still support audiophiles with original styli. They do not have them in stock, but will periodically do a production run to fulfill orders. This includes Stereohedrons for the 881 and 981's.
Give them a call, they should be able to give the straight answer.
cheers,

Maybe about 9 months or so.

Thanks. Sometimes people post as "recent" something that really happened five years ago. Time flies when you're having fun.
According Kevin at kabusa.com (correspondence with me a couple of weeks ago), around 1994 Stanton replaced the Stereohedron stylus, originally supplied with the 881 MkIIs, with an inferior elliptical stylus. The model number of the stylus (D81 IIs) was not changed. I notice that the cartridges offered by hollywooddj are claimed to have Stereohedron styli, but the D81 IIs replacement styli they offer are elliptical. Hmm.
If they really have the 881 MkIIs with Stereohedron stylus (as they claim), then it's a good deal, IMHO.
