A couple of years back I bought cheap a mintish CND copy of "Folks of the 80s" for the novelty aspect and the freshness of the copy, and actually found I enjoyed the music to the point of making it a keeper! Some of those 80s synth sounds are pretty hideous, but lots of other things in there are quite progressive and moving... Great music, and I love that guy-what's-his-name's voice!
Follow Ups:
Their first album is one of my favorite records. That album was trashed as a flash-in-the-pan effort in Rolling Stone mag when it first came out, but it grew on me immediately. What do they know anyways...
Is Pop Go the World (with Ian Anderson on one track) very good also?
I gave up after hearing the title song, haven't heard the rest of the album. Been a long time, I should give it another listen(I don't have it though)
