What happened with mine was the package was dropped so hard, the plate the motor mounts to broke. At least it was packed correctly, so no other damage, but there was no support under the heavy motor, so....If you look there are 3 screws, the one with top threaded adjustable nut, and 2 others. just remove those, motor is loose. And I believe there is enough wiring harness to move it all around without breaking anything.

Ok, that doesn't sound too hard. Are there oil holes?
Don't remember seeing any, just lubed it down the shaft under the pulley. Actually just looked at mine, you could probably reach the top bearing with a drop of oil on a toothpick or something.
I've got to go to bed, as my eyes are starting to feel as if they had sand in them... 54 years old and can't party like I used to! Darn shame...Merry Christmas, we're off to Hawaii so I can get over my cold (not the real reason, but it will work).
Have fun, found some great stuff when I was there (Marantz 8B one owner).
