I hope you're happy with your finds, that's what counts. It's a good reminder for me NOT to buy everything in the 0.50 euro bins. Although sometimes thrift finds surprise you with excellent music and sonics, i spun Henry Mancini/Our man in Hollywood yesterday, OK the strings overload make it a little syrupy but there's enough jazz in it to make it a keeper. And you can hear it was recorded the old fashioned way: 55 jazz/studio pros in a big studio playing all at once, everything miked up and recorded straight to 2 track stereo.
I found out the hard way records are easier bought than sold, so i'm trying to go cold turkey on buying dupes. I could have bought Hendrix/Are you experienced and Clapton/Layla for 1.50 each, but i left them in the box, i already have them. I'm having second thoughts now...

If you find it at a Goodwill (or a thrift store), buy it. It is Andy's album that he made after doing LSD marriage therapy in California with Claudine Longet. I kid you not. The second side is priceless, especially the sitar in the title song. Plus a few favorites from Hair that he sings with the Osmond Brothers. Must listening.
Man, I've got to get a copy of that! It sounds like a lot of fun.
The first side is marked "Ballads" the second side is marked "Not So Ballads". When Andy goes into "Let The Sun Shine In" with the Osmonds on side two, it's like the beginning of the Age of Aquarius. On Get Together, he's backed by some group called "Lodestone". I wonder if that was an Osmond side project?
The cover is also priceless. Andy discards the sweater look for a FLOWERED shirt. Peace, Love, ... AND SOUL!
I'll be checking the trift stores this weekend. I'll post if I find it!
