My old scale went South, too. I bought a My Weigh 200-Z on eBay for 99 cents. Freight was an obscence $16, however. In any event, I like it just fine. I suppose all these cheap scales are exactly that, cheap scales. They are accurate, so just pick one; toss it when it quits.

is just plain nonsense!First, you need to be reminded that I lived in the "south" in the mid-seventies, so I am knowledgable on the "south."
Are you suggesting that "goin' south" is something less than ok? Your comment might make one (especially one who has never been to the "south") think that there is something inherently broken or non-working about it!!! I take exception to your slanderous "language" regarding the noble, picturesque, grandiose, land of the south.
I was "going south" last summer, and while some would consider me broken, or unable, I can assure you that that is not the case...
I would like to repectfully suggest that the use of "going south" be henceforth used to denote only those things that are green, lush, friendly, peachy, with a cup of Cafe Du Monde to wash it all down... or Coca Cola, whichever is more convenient!
And, like the lady at the chicken drive-thru in Columbus,GA said so perfectly, when I told her that the volume of the speaker in the menu board was soooo loud it nearly made my eyes pop out...
"Listen to yoself, now!" (then she rolled her eyes!)
We DID have such a good time in the "south" you see!
...South as in Mexico, Cuba, Haiti, or someplace. The reference has nothing whatever to do with The Glorious South which currently known as The Occupied South.
Here, puss, puss!
