I have read the book.Lots of fun, great weekend read that flies.
But --- you know this story inside out if you're a fan.
For those that grew up during the Beatles era, you may remember that the Beatles released something pretty much every year around Xmas. This tradition continued through the '70s with the solo releases. Many will remember finding the Beatles under their tree at Xmas time in their late childhood and early teen years. It has been suggested that this is big part of why, for so many and to this day, Xmas seems to stir thoughts of the Beatles.
so this was the ultimate Xmas present for me in my young teens!!
Thinks Let it Be box set... or George Harrison's!!
How about all the Beatles posts on VA.
At Christmastime each year I celebrate with a spin of the Beatles' Christmas messages, a collection of which I have on a bootleg LP I bought some 25 years ago. There is great silliness---the group mocking "Yesterday" for one---but also some delightful musical segments, like "Everywhere It's Christmas," "Christmastime Is Here Again" and Paul's beautiful "This is to Wish You a Very Merry Christmas," based on his "I've Got a Feeling" of the same year. Great stuff.
Yup. Bought myself a new laptop for Christmas this year. . . ;8^)
