Is that it. On top I presume, then set the weight to what the cart specifies? Any thoughts. Is it worth the trouble?

Follow Ups:
I just got those weights too, but have not installed yet. Are the stock screws long enough to reuse? The weights are much thicker than the flat washers that VPI includes for the arm.

The little ugly looking thing does unfortunately go on top.
Yes, you set VTF to cart manufactures recommendation.VPI really scraped bottom when they spec’d out this thing for manufacturing.
It's made of thick stainless steel that was manually sheared so it has one hell of a shear bevel on each end and the finish (or lack of) is ugly as hell.
It should have been punched or better yet laser cut and bead blasted for a satin finish to more closely match the aluminum arm.Yes, it does help with my Denon 103R.

Thanks for the input Dale, I too was um, unimpressed with the thing asthetically, but I don't know if I could make a weight with the right sized and spaced holes any cheaper. That said I suppose the actual exact weight is not that important (3.0 grams or 3.1 0r 3.22 etc) Adding some weight is the fix it.

Dale,
Looks like you need to get the Siggie JMW-9.

you probably don't want to hear this but according to vpi you'll need to experiment to find out what works best. happy cartridge installing!
