Just got and installed the 300 rpm motor kit including the larger pulley and capacitor on my Scout and noticed right away with the first LP that this baby was running considerably fast.I compared vinyl to it's cd counterpart known to be at correct pitch and my Scout is now running a good half step fast based on an A440 pitch. The original 600 rpm motor is very close to perfect pitch by the way.
Any ideas ?

Have you tried the different grooves on the platter to adjust?
Yeah.....It's the grooves in the slightly tapered pulley that can make very small speed changes, not enough to correct this speed demon.
