Folks,
Tried to clean/lubricate the sliders on my eq and they seem worse than before.
I used Mg chemical control cleaner with silicon lubricant.
I have read the archives and this seems to be the way to do it?.
Follow Ups:
CRC 2-26 "Plastic lubricant with electric contact enhancing properties".Nevermind that its dirt cheap from Home Depot, this stuff worked like gangbusters on my 2 Audio Contol C-22's sliders (along with the 12v plug connectors for my skiff's sonar,GPS,VHF and trolling motor- wouldn't leave the dock without a can aboard.)
.
Probably their "Faderlube".
all the best,
mrh

The problem may be that you sprayed in solvent that washed out the grease, and left a thin lubricant. Caig Fader lube should work fine on an untouched control, but may not last long if most of the grease ihas been washed out before applying it. Somehow you need to clean the resistive element and replace whatever slider lube grease gets washed away.
