D) My listening room** correct answer should be D
ie - if you have a room - too small-too big- over dampened
your best gear will never sound as good as it shouldI always felt the exra care on the room placment -or furnishings
made the most diference per dollar-per foot- or per anything
elso you could do ! Sometimes $ 30.0 investment in stands
makes an ok pair of speakers- sound just right..

Actually my favorite oxygen free cables are no longer for sale at Parts Express. They were called Iced Purple and cost the princely sum of around $10.00 a meter/pair. To me the most important part was having some of my vintage tube amps upgraded and made safe to use daily. Not to mention my tube and sand McIntosh tuners both sounded way better freshly aligned. I had the alignment done after I tested all the tubes myself in the MR65-b replacing only a few of the weak testing original tubes. The McIntosh factory would only work on my sand tuner, but it sounds great running at factory specs. It is not just the money but how you cobble together a system so it works well together. A simple analogy is how some old AR turntables prolly sound better than some new high end tables simply because the owner took the time to dial in the cartridge and properly set up the turntable. I keep telling myself audio is just a fun hobby, audio is just a fun hobby... John
The AR cables that I have been buying a Best Buys seen well desinged and made. They are a little more than $10 but they are not very expensive.

Whatever the WAF allows
but it's usually her taste in furniture /rugs/ drapes
or wall hangings
I definitely need more in the garage. While generally not WAF friendly, bass traps do wonders to smooth out the bottom.I find ficus plants work well at the first reflection points.
A: Those lamp wire cords I found at the bottom of the carboard box under all the other stuff I been pack ratting.B: My $25 blew all the dust off of it with compressed air salvation army saved ss amp.
C: My ok I'd better spend some money on something under $100 upgrade micro line cartridge.
D: Using tape measure, plum line and protractor to set those vintage Large Advents just right so that I can hear the cow bell moo.
Yep, the answer is D. ;-)
