Ever since my last post here, I've been running back and forth from home to the hospital with my one year old son, lots of time we ended up staying there for several weeks trying to get his condition stablized.Watching him suffering from the side effect of the medication and the other medical procedure (mainly tubes, needles and cathetor poked into him) took it's toll on our mental health.
Now my son's resting at home, with his condition's somewhat stablized (not cured, it can not be cured).
While in the hopital, I read this forum occasionally, meanwhile, thinking about the vintage equipment that I have, or would like to have, that's what keeps me going.
During this difficult time, I managed to purchase a Thorens 125 turntable. I don't know if it's a 125 or a 125MKII, I did a search here, but all I've read are bits and pieces of information about this. If anyone has a 100% original TD-125 or TD-125 MKII that can offer some information, I'd appreciate it.
Thanks

Rust, nice to hear from you again on the forum. My best wishes for you and your family.the 125 is a VG table. I have a buddy with a MK II SME II arm. here is the link to both manuals.

Best regards
Mine is a different situation. My son is autistic, but I know about the hospital experiences, because we are in them all the time with him. I can relate, and hope your son will do okay.I have a TD125 mk II with stock arm - it's fantastic. Your's with SME 3009 should be even better. It's fairly easy to change arms because the armboard removes. I haven't done it yet but may upgrade the tonearm on mine. What do you want to know about the TD125?
Sorry to hear about your son. My son's brain condition's also slowly deteriorating......can not learn anything now, and he's only a little over one year old, he spent his 1st birthday at the hospital....Anyway, my TD-125 MKII seems to have parts from a regular TD-125, so I want to know the difference between the two, and find out what's going on.
We are hanging in there, doing the best for our son, there are more issues to deal with.About the Thorens I have, the base says 125 MKII, the tag on the bearing housing says 125, the spindle has ball bearing, the electronics appears to be a MKII (without the two TO-3 power transistors). The tonearm has been changed to a SME 3009.
It could be a mix match unit, so if anyone has a 100% stock of either model and enlight me of the differences, that'd be great.
Best wishes to your son, I had a MK2 and it was identified by the tag on the rear. If your tag is missing i really cant help. Good Luck.
It's good to hear your son is resting at home.I'm sure you and your wife are both exhausted; mentally and physically.
Make sure to try to take some time for yourself, and for you and your wife together.
Vaya con Dios
...and a prayer for you and the little guy.
