I have got an HF-81 without a power transformer, as I think the transformer is 280-0-280VAC (>100mA), and needs 6.3V for the heaters of the power supply tubes, i thought this hammond would serve as a replacement:370FX 142VA, 275-0-275 @ DC ma 150, 5VCT @ 3A, 6.3VCT @ 5A. EACH $69.99.
But, I see in the schematic there is a third sec winding. What is the voltage?
Follow Ups:
The rectifier winding for those two EZ81 needs to be 6.3v, NOT the 5v of the Hammond 370 (& of course twice the current of one ez81). AND the rectifier winding must be separate from heater string since B+ comes off the rectifier cathode+filament. See any tube data list such as this one for tube specs:
About $100.00 new. They built the stock HF-81 PS transformer back in the day are still in business.
I bought one as a spare for my venerable, and much beloved HF-81. With a spare PT, I figure it should outlive me.Heyboer service is excellent, as well (based on my "n=1" experience with them).
The transformer above is a Hammond, Model 370FX
