To find a Pioneer SA-608 (Euro version of the 6800) amp in this condition in the trash. They totally wrecked it, took whatever they could use, power trafo anything. While maybe it could have been saved with a couple of new elco's. These late 1970s Pioneer amps with the fluorescent displays are getting collectable. I took it home for the knobs.

...With one blown channel should get me some serious Epay...Also, the DQ-10s in the basement should fetch a pretty penny- They've been loaded with Solens and Linn Tweeters...
Ditto the old Cyrus II that is now a power amp, and the Sears LXI (1975 vintage) speakers, and the other ten pairs of speakers and crap in my garage...

the bass and treble knobs for my 6800 that i saved from the dump.sitting right next to it was the matching tuner with all its knobs. :)
if you can spare them i can use them.
...and a pair of HPM-40's I bought at a garage sale for $20. It sounds very good; nice amps.
I still bring some of the foundlings home...
