When searching, I seem to be limited to 200 results and at best, those results are convoluted. I did glean some info, though. Seems a few folks here have or have had the Heritage.Little background........I`m running a 5.O setup with Heritage fronts and Minis rear with a (mediocre) Yamaha center. Recently upgraded from a (mediocre) JVC receiver to a Marantz SR7001. Big, big difference with 2 channel and movies. Really had planned to upgrade the speakers, but my Advents still sound pretty good vs the limited auditioning I`ve done.
Some questions........
I replaced all the woofers (surround rot) in the fronts with generics that my original dealer had. Mistake as opposed to getting re foamed? They still sound pretty sporty. Does anybody sell something close to the originals?Any ideas on an appropriate center?
Is there an owner`s manual or the June 1990 SR review or just specs in general on this site? I have my original boxes but can`t find the manual.
The fuse spec?
Sorry for the long post and Thanks...........
Follow Ups:
Check the Boolean "and" instead of the default "or" on the search window and you will get 89 hits instead of 200. With "or" you will get hits that include references to any Advent or any Heritage that has ever been posted about, but with the "and" you will get hits about only (in theory) the Advent Heritage. In other words, both words have to appear in the post in order for the search engine to list it.
Jerry and Rod...........Thank You.......Rod, I had no luck with the search feature of this forum today. But that`s about par for the course, for me.
Maybe I can milk this a little bit........
Is the Advent Heritage, or was it ever, considered a "decent" speaker?
I pretty much went through the upper end of B&W on a recent audition and I`ll tell you......... Not for my money/and the fact that these Advents have long since been paid for..........
Yes, it was considered a decent speaker. My problem with them was that the bass is too strong for a small room. They sounded great in the shop and in my 16' x 28' living room, but with the extra room gain in a 12' x 15' den, they were too much. Other than that they were fine. Stereo Review gave them a great review, but then they gave everything a great review. I did like them, and in the right room, the sound is very good, particularly the bass. The reason mine didn't get to stay in the living room was that the very strong magnets screwed up the TV they flanked. So keep them away from TV's.
They went to my son-in-law for several years, always sounded good when I visited, and more recently went to his brother-in-law. He's very happy with them and drives them with a Carver amp.
I find that it's always more than I wanted.Try things to limit your query to get better results like adding, +advent, which means must contain advent or use the exact match for a phrase or whatever. You can even get just BoldEagle posts with the word Advent, but then you'd probably just get all his posts.

For a center channel see if you can find a Prodigy or Prodigy Tower. It's an 8" 2 way with the same tweeter. Failing that a Baby Advent might work well. You really ought to refoam those. I used a generic 8" kit from Parts Express for a pair of Prodigy's and the woofers are very similar to the Heritage. You'll need one kit per Heritage.
The manuals were really minimal for the Heritage.
