Hi There,
Does anyone have first hand experience with these two receivers?
A friend of mine (out of town) has offered me my choice of one. Both in good condition and both have wooden cabinets.
Thanks in advance and "good listening"

Follow Ups:
The 2245 was the first receiver I bought right out of college in 1974 - As I recall I paid about $250 for it - It was every bit worth it, as it was my main receiver for almost 20 years. A real workhorse - I used it virtually every day and it performed beautifully - solid and balanced sound from both ends of the spectrum. Never really had to do anything to it except change a light bulb. Eventually one channel died, and I chose to get another receiver, but I absolutely loved that machine.
IF you listen to FM go for the 2235. The 2245 WILL need a rotory directional antenna. If you listen to CD's only the 45 maybe better. The 35 would have a typical Marantz 22xx generic sound. Not that, that is a bad thing, but again generic 22xx type sound. Not that the 45 would be MUCH differnt. But it may sound a little more like the B series type with less distortion. I would go for the 45 on looks and CD and the 35 for general FM use.
Anyone know?

Courtesy of our town dump, I have a 2220 and a 2220B. The former weighs considerably more than the latter and is much more neatly and thoughtfully laid out inside.I cannot comment on the pair sonically, 'cause the unsuffixed 2220 was on the scrap metal pile, sans fuse caps, and I've never had the nerve to try it out.
The 2220B is a pretty typically solid-state-y sounding receiver. I've never much cared for any of the Superscope-era Marantz ss gear performance-wise.
It seems to me that for the last 6 months to a year or so, I have not been able to get that site to come up... Can everyone else except me see it? Is it still being updated?? I am puzzled...

... it would be a nice unit to own, were I to acquire another 22xx.
