Hi, Dave:Sure! The general consensus for the AU-D9 is that it is an excellent sounding amplifier and was given rave reviews when it was new. Apparently, clean examples are fetching good money these days, so there is a bit of a following for them out there.
The amplifier also features a built-in provision for handling both MM and MC phono cartridges and is a fairly straight-forward looking piece of gear.
I would not say that Sansui was overtly generous in the veneer they used in their cabinets, however. I have never seen such thinly "skinned" veneer, except in cabinets provided for components by Luxman and Yamaha. However, the overall quality of construction is good with many fine parts throughout.
The AU-D9 retailed for $650 when new in 1979, if that tells you anything.

And mine has no dust inside! I've had one for sale in AA classifieds for a few months. No inquires at all.
Hi, nightdoggy:You might try listing your amplifier on Audiogon or otherwise use eBay.
I have not looked in the AA classifieds yet for your listing, but you might possibly be asking too much for yours.
Check out or consider Audiogon. I have used them in the past with good results and the user base seems pretty well informred.
Thanks. I've used Audiogon maybe 25 times with good results. Everything I ever posted there has sold.
My price seems high until you consider the condition it is in.
Great story. That is a fine integrated amp. Lucky dog :-)
Thanks, Pete:This just goes to show you how silly folks can be at times.
Those hits just keep on a-comin'!
I see you live in Berkeley. If that amp could talk!
Hi, Dave:Actually, the amplifier has told me nearly everything I need to know by now!
