Anybody come to some sort of conclusion? What to "treat" at all cost, and what not to?
Follow Ups:
two comments: 1. too much ers can dull a system, and 2. sometimes glare can be misperceived as pace, or drive, or dynamics, and sound can initially seem dull once it is removed. or, you've already compensated for the glare with some other tweek, wire or component choice in your system, and keeping the ers and removing the other dulling agent would show ers cloth in a more favorable light. for the record, i do sell the stuff, so take my comments with the appropriate caveats

Ive noticed only a slight difference using it in individual components, but I tried taping two sheets over my breaker box as a test. The breaker is in direct line of site of a radio repeater antenna and it made a difference to my system - smoother silkier highs.Im going to make a proper box to surround my breaker panel and line it with ERS.

Even 1/2" by 1/2" pieces hurt the sound. I sold all that I had. Perhaps, however, the pace of music is not your bag, so you may like it.
On everything else, I heard absolutely no difference. Still have some lying around somewhere.
Only discernable improvement I noted was better HF after wrapping a 1" band of ERS around the ends of unshielded speaker cables and ICs.
Tried it very simply: just putting a sheet 8x11 on top of dacs, power converters, and other component. Heard nothing different. Nothing worse but nothing better.I plan to try it internally with a preamp I'm upgrading but as of now I don't think it does anything in my system.
I understand that a lot of folks have found audible differences using this, so I'm not saying it does nothing. Just nothing for me as yet.
i lined the inside of my old bpt unit, wrapped all the wires from the transformer and covered the backs of the receptacles with good results. it definitely lowered the noise floor. the only major issue i had with it was that i paid extra for the adhesive backing and it didn't stick very well at all. i wound up using instant glue and wire ties.
