it sounds great & is $40.I also have the Oyaide SWO-XXX in the wall and in my power strip, so i know what is better & the Furu still sounds great to me.
definitely a warmer sounding plug, but not slow. great match sonically & budgetwise to the furu fi plugs.
Follow Ups:
I like the Furu Cu in my system and it is a significant improvement.Look for the review and post by Al Sekela recently in Cables (here too?) about his shoot out with Oyaide, Furu, and hospital grade MRI outlets.
Furutech has revamped their AC receptaclke line since Al made his comparison.
The box you sent me on 24 January says "FP-15A."
Hi, Al. The version you have is the older style, I didn't have the new style until mid February...
So far I've heard that the newer Oyaides may not be quite as good, and seem to take longer to burn in, than the older ones from reading posts here. I have no direct Oyaide experience myself. So what is the difference with the new Furus, how would you describe the sonic delta and/or benefits, and do you think they stand up reasonably well in comparison with the twice as expensive Oyaides?
I know you're a dealer, of course, but your judgement is trusted enough by me and many here. So it shouldn't be a no-no for you to supply your complete impressions.
I have a number of them in the walls and a few in DIY Power strips, matched with the Furutech plugs male AC plugs takes it up another degree.
I'm very happy with them. Maybe one day I'll break down and try an Oyaide, but I'm in no hurry.
and spend $ on their better plugs. then, after you have the good plugs where you want them consider replacing the fi-15 outlet with their newest flavor of the month.I have Oyaide, but its really the system of outlets + plugs where i hear the synergy and benefits...not just in a single piece of AC gear.
the one area I don't have matching Oyaide is the female plugs, I use Furu fi-11 Ag IEC ends everywhere that I should have an Oyaide C-046 to match the males. its gonna be a long time before i my cable are all oyaide!
my guess is the fi-15 outlets with the fi-25 plugs would be dope...
