As Title. There are 4 IN4002 in the circuit used to convert AC (16 volts) to DC (22volts).
Follow Ups:
I have changed to the Motorola diode. Overall result is positive, most notably a quiet background.
Hi.If it is just for regular use as battery charger etc. etc, no need to switch to 1N4933, both are for 100V max recurrent peak reverse voltage.
But if it is used as rectifier for audio amp power supply, I would strongly recommmend you to switch to 1N4934 which is a fast recovery
diode rectifier, emitting far less noise to your PS than 1N4002.
It is a bit of an overkill being a 1000V diode, but that doesn't hurt.It is a fast diode which may reduce the amount of switching recovery noise getting on to the power lines.
Only you can decide what "improve performance" means and whether it does it or not.
