My amp has some of these metalic blue axial lead Philips electrolytic caps in it that I need to replace. You dont even wanna know why, I made a stupid mistake while doing a repair and they exploded:( So Id like to know what would be a good replacement for these. I need 47uf/63v and id like something at least as good as the origional and preferably better audio quality caps. Problem is there doesnt seem to be any audio quality axial electrolytic caps.

Wow - I have a couple of those hanging around. Not sure if they are the ratings you are looking for, but they are the Made in Holland Philips 'lytics in light blue - exactly like the ebay pic. Let me check em out and see what I have.
Cool im looking for 47uf/63v
Digi-Key has exactly the same cap. It's called BC components now.
P/N 4242PHCT or 4242PHTB
I'd been looking out for these. I just bought 10, thanks!
Hey thatnks alot, do you know what a higher grade replacement would be?
Actually, no. These are very good though. Axial caps are a dying breed and no one is making any top top grade caps. If you have room you may be able to use radial leaded caps. In which case I highly recommend the Panasonic.
Thanks
