That's fine just as long as the in rush on the trannie doesn't pop the circuit.

AlanThanks for the tip! Is there any way to prevent this? Probably not...but I figured I'd ask ;)

The easiest solution is to order a bulk transformer with a low inrush. Both Plitron and Maryland Transformer offer the custom option. Plitron requires a min purchase of 5, but Maryland Transformer sells all trannies singular or bulk. Take a look at the web site...they have a lot to offer. Teresa is my contact...she can help you with whatever you want to have designed. My best suggestion is to start with one of the Medical Grade Transformers....they pack a lot of punch....great product.http://www.toroid.com

Install a high-mag curcuit breaker. This is sort of like a Slo-blow fuse and should not trip on a short but high inrush current. You could also try putting a thermistor in series with your primary to help limit the inrush.
If you can find one big enough
