Awww C'mon Transmitted vibration has not been a issue since I was a teenager living in an upstairs Suite. ANY house/building that meets most any building code has minimal issues in that area. Does yr Tonearm bounce about? If not, then it's not much of an issue. unless you are one of those that smears the inside of your components with Caulking Goo of some description . basically cuz they 'read it on the internet'

No reason to pay another penny for audio equipment!Obviously that's a joke, but I think the notion that unless your tonearm is literally jumping off the surface of a record that vibration is then a non issue is laughable in it self.
Not sure what building codes have to do with anything since vibration is never really considered in single dwelling residential structures. In fact from what I've seen you could make a strong argument that today's housing structures are in many ways inferior to yesteryear's buildings.
Anyway, I'm wanting to introduce a turntable into my SET/Njoe Tjoeb/Lowther system. And it's the turntable isolation I'm primarily concerned with. When I look at the mega buck turntables it appears to me that a lot of the engineering, and hence cost, derives from the mass built into these units. Obviously the builders of these machines are trying to control both external & internal vibrations.
Now I can't afford a state of the art turntable, in fact in the nicer systems I've seen, the cartridge costs more that what my budget can be. ;)
So, I'm trying to figure out how to help a budget unit as much as I can. Plus I'm wanting nice looking to hold my gear that will increase it's WAF factor.

Oh and what was the goo you referenced? And where should one apply it? :)
Transmitted vibration has not been a issue since I was a teenager living in an upstairs SuiteYou are thinking of the obvious. Look deeper into the physics of the world.
