For under $50, with shipping, you can pick off VIZ or RCA Isotaps on eBay.What are you looking to isolate with this? That will make a difference as to how many VA you'll want.
Follow Ups:
I need something to isolate my tube monoblocks 120 watts and my Tube pre ampI would be willing to spend up to 500 on something that would satisfy my requirements
If you want to try balanced power, Equi=Tech has some 10-amp transformers on clearance for $350. Equi=Tech uses massive cores in their transformers compared to most other toroid manufacturers I have seen, run quiet in the presence of DC on the AC line and feature low inrush current. I have a 2kVA Equi=Tech that is 60lbs, compared to the average 30-35lbs of a Plitron of similar rating.
Take a look at the Plitron Medical Grade Isolation Transformers...they are excellent and perfect for your application. Like all transformers you will need at adjust the wattage vs heat. A good measure is to pick up a trannie 25% larger than required...greater than 25% is even better.
The IsoTaps are good, just not big enough for your application Patster.
I'm using a 2000va plitron with no audible noise, and I don't detect any vibrations coming from the case.
